 The Niraj which springs to the Câmpul Cetății at the foot of the snow-capped mountains – according to Orbán Balázs is the most Szekler river, because from the spring and its overfow to Mureș river remains in the Szekler Land - it passes through a wonderful, varied landscape through the extensive chain of villages and carefully crafted felds.
Not the ethnographic features, but the character and the more or less homogeneous ethnic composition makes this region uni-
form. Historically, after the Austro-Hungarian Compromise, Szekler areas came under county administration, and nowadays the relatively closeness of the valley (and side valleys), the cortege of the small but noticeable hills strengthens their cohesion which balks them from the areas of the Szekler Land borders, and espe-cially from the violent throbbing of the Mureș Valley.
